Silver Firs named Washington State Recognized School

Silver Firs named Washington State Recognized School

Silver Firs Elementary was recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for outstanding achievement during the 2024-25 school year. The school earned statewide recognition after performing in the top 20% of Washington schools in English language arts and math.

The recognition placed Silver Firs among a select group of schools across the state. This year, only 16% of Washington schools received this honor.

The award reflected the dedication and teamwork of Silver Firs students, staff, and families. Through strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a supportive school culture, Silver Firs continued to create learning opportunities that helped students succeed.

The Washington School Recognition Program honors schools for achievement, growth, and closing gaps. Schools recognized for achievement consistently demonstrate strong performance across multiple measures, including academic proficiency and attendance.

Superintendent Ian Saltzman commended the school community for its continued commitment to excellence.

“I am very proud of our staff for their continued dedication and hard work for student success,” Saltzman said. “The recognition of three of our schools for achievement and growth highlights our district’s deep commitment to student learning and continuous improvement.”

Silver Firs Elementary also received a banner from the State Board of Education in partnership with Northwest Educational Service District 189 in recognition of this achievement and the hard work shown throughout the school year.
