School meals

Silver Firs offers breakfast for $1.90 and lunch for $3.65. The menu varies and a copy is sent home at the beginning of each month. In addition to the regular menu, students may choose from the salad/sandwich bar daily. The yogurt combo lunch is an alternate lunch served daily. Students may prepay for meals or purchase them each day.  Free and reduced meals are offered to those families that meet the federal income eligibility standards. Visiting the school

Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom or have lunch with their students. To volunteer in the classroom, volunteers must be a district approved volunteer. To become a volunteer with Everett School District go to: Volunteer. All Volunteers and Visitors must stop by the office and sign in and wear a volunteer/visitor badge.

Medications at school

Medications, including any nonprescription products, can be given at school only with specific written directions from a doctor with signed parental/guardian permission. If your child needs to have medication during the school day, please use this link for the medication form:  Medication Form

School delays or closures

In case of weather or other emergency conditions, please tune to the local radio or television stations for information. No announcement means normal operations.

School hours

The school day begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.  AM ECEAP/Preschool hours are 9:10 - 11:50 a.m. PM ECEAP/Preschool hours are 12:45 - 3:30 p.m. Students should not arrive before 9 a.m. The first bell rings at 9:10 and at 9:15 students should be in their classroom. School is dismissed at 1 p.m. on Early Release days and there is no ECEAP/Preschool. School is dismissed at 2:15 p.m. on Learning Improvement Fridays. The office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
