About Us

In 1988, the Silver Firs Elementary School opened to meet the needs of a rapidly growing area of the school district. As its neighborhood has grown around it, the school has become an integral part of the community fiber. Silver Firs is used year-round, before and after school by community groups such as the YMCA Daycare, Camp Fire, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Mill Creek Parks and Recreation, and PTA.

SCHOOL HOURS:

• Regular Hours: 9:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• AM ECEAP/Preschool (M-Th): 9:05 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
• PM ECEAP/Preschool (M-Th): 12:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Early Release: 1 p.m. dismissal (No ECEAP/Preschool)
• Learning Improvement Friday: 2:15 p.m. dismissal

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to educate with high academic and behavioral standards. We will nurture and guide students to become life-long learners who are respectful of differences and who can transition from the classroom to the community as successful contributing citizens.
